New soap

I saw a post on Ann Marie's blog about a gardeners soap that looked so awesome. I tried to make one like it using ingredients I already have.

Mixing together the oils and water/lye solution.

Cups with different additives to add to the soap.
1 calendula flower petals
1 coffee grounds
1 lavender flowers
1 moroccon red clay

First cup and bottom layer to the soap, the calendula petals.

The soap fragrance is lemongrass sage. I added the calendula soap mix to the bottom of the mold. On top of the calendula I layered the lavender mixture. The soap traced so fast I didn't take pictures of the whole layering process.

Next I added the coffee layer, then the clay & white layer. I didn't have a chance to do the cool swirl. I had to glop the soap into the mold.

I am letting the soaps cure but I just had to try a slice. I am loving all the scrubbiness.

Oh so yummy pull apart bread

I found this recipe at allrecipes.com. It is so yummy and way easy to make. Often times our local Winco will have the bisquets for 98 cents. We have frozen them then used them. When you freeze them they are a little sticky but that's no prob.

You need a bunt pan to makes them. I didn't want to spend the $$$ for a bunt pan so I got a fluted pan instead. It is about half the cost of the bunt pan. Spray the pan with cooking spray.

Melt the cube of butter and add your spices. Just pick the ones' you like, super easy. Add them to the melted butter.

Open your grands.

It doesn't say on the all recipes recipe, but I like to cut the grands into fourths When you are done you will have 32 yummy pieces..

Add you grands to the butter & herbs and coat them well.

When your done with the grands drizzle the rest of the butter all over.

Bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes.

Golden yummines. Flip the pan over (invert it) onto your serving plate.

All done.
Yummy, inexpensive, fast, delish................ enjoy!!!

Awesome lotion

I have been needing to make a batch of lotion for awhile. It was kinda cold outside the other day, so I thought it was the perfect day for lotion making.

I used
distilled water, heated with two green tea bags added
 sunflower oil
grapeseed oil
glycerin
e-wax
stearic
preservative
and for fragrance - Monkey Farts

Tea bags steeping in the water.

Weighting then heating the oils, e-wax & stearic.

Waiting for them to cool down.

Adding the oils to the water. I did add the glycerin to the distilled tea mix after I took the tea bags out.

Stick blending them together.

Weighting to add the preservative and fragrance.

Putting the lotion into containers.

I decided not to add any color.
It turned out so rich and creamy. My feet and hands are loving it.
