New journal

Every month we get a mailer with coupons in it. It is a pretty substantial mailer too. I think they have about 75 pages in them. I decided to make a journal out of one.

I have this paper pack I bought several years ago. I thought I would that to cover the pages. I am still trying to use the stuff I already have.

So I started covering all the pages. I am liking how the pages are coming together.

So you get how this is going. I have a little leftover from each page too so I can use those to imbelish.

I added some lined paper, leftover paper, stamping & some old imbelishments to make some cute new pages. I love taking some junk mail, using old stuff to make something new. Awesome :)

Crochet cowl

With cold weather already here I wanted to make a cowl. They are awesome for keeping you warm.

Canvas - part 2

I am already tinkering with the thing. I didn't like how it looks like yellow lasers are coming out of the yellow flower. So I added some color to break it up. I also added some more flowers at the bottom.

Altered Canvas

So awhile back I bought this canvas to put up in my living room. It matches my couch. Last spring( not this spring, but the one before that) we got new carpet. Now I think we have to much brown in that room. So a few months ago I got some paint and painted. The focal wall was done in a grey, and the wall opposite that I painted a softer grey. One day I was looking at the canvas and thought I can do something I like better. I was nervous to work on the canvas, but I got over it.

So i first I put down a layer of gesso.

Then little by little I added layers of paint, spray inks, paper and marker. So far I am liking it better, but might add to it.

BEAUTIFUL DAY

I just had to make a page today. It is so nice outside. I just had to share.

So, right after I finished posting, hubby came home with a seafood sensation sandwhich from Subway. As we were eating, I was looking at the Subway tissue paper they wrap your sandwhich in. I was especially liking the looks of the leaf & thinking about the page I just did & how the leaf might fit in. So after I finished eating I grabbed the tissue and cut out one of the leaves. I took it downstairs, put some collage pauge (love that stuff) on it and added it to the page. I am loving the results, it is making me happy.

I am thinking I need to save the "eat fresh" and use it sometime too :)

Inky, painty fun :)

I wanted to play with my paints and spray inks today. I grabbed a piece of white card stock and kraft card stock and went to it. I do like doing it on white paper better, I think the color "POP'S" better, but it was kind of one of those experiment type things. I think i'm going to cut the papers in different sizes and use them in my art journal pages.
