Cade " The sharp dressed man"

For all the ninth graders at Cade's school, they do a mock job interview. The kids need to dress up for the interview. Cade's turn was during english the last period for him of the day. So he had to go around all day in his suit. He did really well in the interview. One of Cade's friends Colin wore a plaid suit. I bet that was a hit!!!!! Anyway Cade thought he was stylin' and lots of the girls though he looked mighty nice!

I haven't posted is quite a while. I have been busy getting ready for the Holiday Boutique coming up on Saturday. There are a lot craft shows going on this weekend.
I hope we do well & have a fun time. Here are a few things I have been working on

My Peppermint Stick soaps with a candy cane.

This is one of the 3 - 2 pound soaps I made.It is Lemongrass Orange. It has added calendula flowers, chamomile flowers & oatmeal, and smells so awesome. It yeilds about 7 pieces when it is cut. I plan on doing custom orders for these soaps, during the holidays.

And here is one of the wood block sets I have been making. I think they turned out super cute.

We need the weather to change so we can get into the holiday spirit. It is really hard for me to when it has been such nice weather. I still want to go out and garden but can't.

Craig (my hubby) and I went to Las Vegas last weekend to celebrate our 16th anniversary. We stayed at my friend Robin's husbands appartment. Craig (Robins hubby) works in Vegas & comes home to Utah on the weekends. Craig & Robin to us out to west Vegas to check out Red Rock Canyon. What a beautiful place. The rock formations & picture graphs were cool.

Later Saturday night we went out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory in the shopping place in Caesars Palace. I had yummy key lime cheesecake. Never meet a key lime I didn't like!!! After that we went to the Beatles "LOVE" Cirque Du Soleil.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was incredible. They Payed so much attention to every detail, it was awesome. I would love to take my kids to see it. I would recogmend it to anyone. It was the cooliest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Anniversary Baby!!!! You are the BEST!!!

I was asked to make a bunch of cards for my friend & boss to gives to send to our Curves ladies. To let them know how much we appriciated them in our lives. My friend Roxanne had to close the doors of our local Curves. She tried to sell for quite some time, but no luck! Now Rox will have the time to spend with her kids & hubby!!! It's sad, alot of the ladies count on Curves for their fitness. I will miss seeing the ladies. They have become such a big part of my life. Truly fantastic & inspiring woman. I am so thankful I had a chance to get to know them.

I made 12 cards, 2 of each!!!

I took pics of 3 each so they are easier to see. This was such a fun card to make.
They are all the same design, just different colors.

farmers market

Here is a pic from yesterdays farmers market. This was the fifth week. A little slower this weekend, I think due to labor day. But fun anyway !!!

This is a few of the venders that turned out today. Next to me is Madge. She sells fruits & veggys. Last week I got a watermelon from her. WOW- It was the best melon ever. My kids loved it too, even my (non watermelon eating) husband liked it. Next to Madge are the peach selling couple. They brought their peaches down from Willard. Next to them was a guy selling his art. He teaches art up at Weber State University.

First day of School :)

Here is the traditional "First day of school" pic. Carch was a trooper. Cade was not. So Cade doesn't get his pic put on my blog, so there!!!

Newest soapies

This is one of the soaps I have made for the farmers market. It has 5 colors in it, and is scented with part cucumber melon & canteloupe cucumber. I call it fruit basket and it smells yummy!

Here is another soap. I made it with goats milk & oatmeal. It's called oatmeal, milk & honey. I really like what goats milk adds to a soap & oatmeal too. This soap rocks!

Here is another. This one is another goats milk soap. It is rosemary & peppermint.
It smells for fresh, and I like the tingle it gives. I got some red moroccon clay and added it to the top layer.

And another. This is lemongrass. When I first took of wiff of this one out of the bottle I thought what have i wasted my $$$ on. But I heard so much about it, people ranting how awesome it is in soap so I thought I just should try it. Once it is soaped it is yummy. More lemony scented that straight from the bottle. I added to the bottom layer dreid calendula flower petals from my yard. It looks pretty and smells great. I will definetly soap this again!!!

And last but not least.............................lavender raspberry.
What a yummy treat. I love the lavender & raspberry together. They smell so sweet.
I added grouns roses to the soap & for decoration on top!!
